Anton Wänker from Dankenschweil

Anton Sebastian Wänker von Dankenschweil (born November 4, 1778 in Saint Petersburg , † October 25, 1861 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a Privy Councilor of the Grand Duke of Baden , as well as a medical councilor and municipal physician in Freiburg im Breisgau.

Life

Anton was born in St. Petersburg as the son of Anton Xaver Regalat Wänker von Dankenschweil (1747–1821) and Charlotte Gronwald (1753–1833). He married Maria Theresia Stutz (1782–1861) on August 12, 1804 and was the father of Ludwig (1805–1880), Otto (1808–1885), Nathalie (* 1812), Kuno (1813–1879) and Emma (* 1815) .

In 1837 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Zähringer Lion Order , and in 1855 he retired.
