Anton Woschitz

Anton Woschitz (born November 22, 1925 in Ferlach ; † May 5, 2004 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a member of the National Council from 1982 to 1983 .

After compulsory school, Woschitz attended a teacher training college and passed the Matura in 1943. He then worked as a primary school teacher and was director of the JF Perkonig primary school in Ferlach. Woschitz was awarded the professional title of high school councilor.

Woschitz held various functions in youth organizations of the SPÖ and was involved in the provincial board of the Carinthian Children's Friends. He was also active in the teachers 'representation and was a member of the district board of the Socialist Teachers' Association of Austria in the Klagenfurt-Land district . In 1970 he was elected deputy mayor of Ferlach, in 1973 he was able to take over the office of mayor. He also acted as deputy district party chairman of the SPÖ Klagenfurt-Land and from 1973 was chairman of the Klagenfurt-Land administrative association. Between May 12, 1982 and May 18, 1983 he represented the SPÖ in the National Council, and in 1985 he resigned as mayor of Ferlach.
