Antonella Ponziani

Antonella Ponziani (born February 29, 1964 in Rome ) is an Italian actress and film director .

Life

Ponziani began taking acting classes at the age of 15; discovered by Federico Fellini , she initially played supporting roles until she was able to convince in Pasquale Pozzesseres Verso Sud in the role of the absent-minded Maria and was awarded the David di Donatello and the Nastro d'Argento for this. In addition to interesting film roles, she also appeared on stage in contemporary plays ("Crack", "Non andare a Modena a comprare un vecchio sassofono", "Swing e Whiskey"). After two short films, L'ultimo mundial made her directorial debut in 1999. In the new millennium, she initially pursued her television career (including in the series Il bello delle donne, which was produced from 2001 to 2003 ) and, from 2009, after years in which she made herself scarce, again several times in (short) films.
