Pasquale Pozzessere (* 1957 in Lizzano ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Processere broke off his medical studies and worked as a script boy for Pupi Avati and as assistant director to Francesco Masellis . After staging a few short films ( Altre voci , Le sirene di carta ), he presented his first feature film, Verso sud , in 1992 , which showed Antonella Ponziani (who was awarded a silver ribbon for this) and Stefano Dionisi in a gloomy environment. The follow-up film, Padre e figlio , also received a lot of attention with its theme of two deluded souls. In 1997, Pozzessere renewed his choice of strong themes: Testimone a rischio tells of the fearful life of the eyewitness Pietro Nava to the murder of Rosario Livatino . Two years later he shot the four-part post-war story La vita che verrà for Italian television . In 2005, La porta delle 7 stelle was shown in cinemas, a search for an adventurous life associated with painful victims. The following year there was a television remake of La provinviale . In 2010, Pozzessere presented its most recent work to date , Cocapop .
