Antoni Cieszyński

Antoni Cieszyński (born May 31, 1882 in Oels , † July 4, 1941 in Lwów , Poland ) was a Polish doctor , dentist and surgeon . He is considered the founder of Polish dentistry.

In 1907 in Munich he invented the half-angle technique , a method used in dental radiology .

Later Cieszyński was professor and head of the Dental Institute at Lwów University . He was also the editor of Polish dental journals .

He was murdered by the SS on July 4, 1941, along with 24 other Polish professors during the Lwów massacre .
