Antoni Opolski (born June 11, 1913 in Rozwadów (today's Ukraine ), † March 17, 2014 in Wroclaw ) was a Polish astrophysicist .

Life

Opolski studied astronomy at the Johann II Casimir University in Lemberg , where he received his doctorate in 1939 under Eugeniusz Rybka . At the Opole University of Education he was a lecturer and temporarily rector (1959–1961); later he was a professor at the University of Breslau . The focus of his research was the pulsation-variable stars .
