Antonio Carlos Robert Moraes

Antonio Carlos Robert Moraes ( 1954 - July 16, 2015 ) was a Brazilian geographer .

Moraes received his doctorate in 1991 under Armando Corrêa da Silva at the University of São Paulo with a thesis on the colonial territory of Brazil in the 16th century. With a thesis on capitalism, geography and the environment , he received the Livre docência at the same university in 2000 , where he was then lecturer in geography and scientific vice-director of the Núcleo de Apoio à Pesquisa sobre Democratização e Desenvolvimento .
