Antonio Falduto

Antonio Falduto is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Falduto studied performing arts at the DAMS of the University of Bologna and wrote his thesis in film history on the implementation of Shakespeare's works in the theater and in film. In 1992 he presented Antelope Cobbler, his debut film based on his own script, which describes the complex problems of the Italian rural population in a humorous way. He was awarded at the Festival of Italian Film in Annecy (Festival du film Italien d'Annecy) . Then Falduto shot numerous commercials and was active as a screenwriter several times, for example for Giuseppe Tornatore . In 2009 he was co-director of the documentary La città nel cinema .

After a long break, Falduto made another feature film in 2010, Il console italiano , among others in South Africa .

The “Vieste Film Festival” is under the artistic direction of Falduto.
