Antonio Gelli
Antonio Gelli ( August 14, 1897 in Ravenna - December 1960 in Milan ) was an Italian opera singer ( bass baritone ).
Life
Gelli was employed at La Scala in Milan , the Opera of Rome and numerous other well-known Italian opera houses and very often sang Comprimario roles there. His acting performance was also valued. His “Fra Melitone” in La forza del destino was considered his most brilliant role. After his stage farewell, he worked in Milan as a singing teacher .
