Antonio Maggio (born August 8, 1986 in  San Pietro Vernotico ) is an Italian pop singer who won the casting show X Factor in 2007 as part of the Aram Quartet and the Sanremo Festival solo in the newcomer category in 2013.

Career

Maggio grew up in Squinzano and was interested in music from an early age. He took part in several local singing competitions and in 2003 reached the finals in the newcomer competition Festival di Castrocaro Terme - Voci e volti nuovi . In December 2007 he teamed up with Antonio Ancora, Michele Cortese and Raffaele Simone to form the Aram Quartet . The group won the first Italian edition of the talent show X Factor in 2008 and made their debut with the EP chiARAMente . But after only a short period of activity, the Aram Quartet broke up again in 2010.

With the single Inconsolabile , Maggio began his solo career in 2011. He tried to be admitted to the Sanremo Festival in 2012 with Nonostante tutto , but it wasn't until 2013 that he won the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival with the song Mi servirebbe sapere . This was followed by his debut album Nonostante tutto . Maggio successfully presented the single Anche il tempo può aspettare at the Music Summer Festival - Tezenis Live . For the program Il processo del lunedì on Rai Sport 1 , he also contributed the title song Santo Lunedì . In April 2014 the single L'equazione was released , which preceded the album of the same name. For the next single Maggio worked with the rapper Clementino , he was also involved in Moreno's single L'interruttore generale (Canzone d'autore) .

The single Amore pop was released in 2016, followed by Il maleducato in 2019 .
