Antonio Marchesano

Antonio Marchesano (* 1930 ; † January 24, 2019 ) was a Uruguayan politician .

Antonio Marchesano, who belonged to the Partido Colorado , had represented the department of Montevideo in the 40th (for the Sublema Unidad y Reforma -15), 41st (for the Sublema Batllismo Unido -15) and 42nd (for the Sublema Batllismo - 15) Legislative period (LP) from February 15, 1967, with the interruption due to the phase of civil-military dictatorship until February 14, 1990, held a titular mandate as a member of the Cámara de Representantes . During this time he was President of the Chamber of Deputies from February 15, 1985 to March 1, 1986. From April 2, 1986 to July 28, 1989 he held the office of Minister of the Interior.
