Antonio Rubio

Antonio Rubio ( 1882 - November 28, 1953 ) was a Uruguayan politician .

Rubio, who belonged to the Partido Colorado , was president of the Consejo Nacional de Administración from March 1 to 31, 1933 .

He sat in the 35th legislative period as a member of the Department of Montevideo from February 15, 1947 to March 15, 1948 in the Cámara de Representantes . In 1947 he also held the office of President of the Chamber. In the following legislative period he was a member of the Senate from February 14, 1951 and in 1951 also took over the presidency of the Senate and in this year and the following the chairmanship of the Comisión Permanente del Poder Legislativo . He resigned his senatorial mandate on March 3, 1952 in favor of his membership in the Consejo Nacional de Gobierno , the Uruguayan National Council.
