Alexander de Cova

Alexander de Cova (born November 7, 1964 in Munich ) is a German magician .

He became known in German-speaking countries through his numerous books, instructional DVDs and seminars for learning magic.

biography

De Cova started magic at the age of 7. At the age of 21 he turned his hobby into a profession and became a professional magician. In the following years he gained extensive stage experience through many European-wide appearances. In 1992 he won the silver wand at the Festival of Magic in Monte-Carlo with his trick "Samurai Magic Act".

De Cova received the title "Doctor in Magical Arts" from the Italian magic school Silvan Magic Academy in 2001 . In the following years he taught there for three semesters, together with other well-known magicians such as Michael Ammar and Roberto Giobbi . In addition to his teaching activities at seminars and workshops, he created over 40 video and DVD productions, some of which were produced in English.

In his magic tricks and in his training, his focus is on simple, uncomplicated routines that produce "strong effects that are easy for the audience to understand".

In 1994/95 and 2015 de Cova was honored by the Magic Circle of Germany with the title of Writer of the Year . He is the first person to be awarded this title twice.
