history
The Antwerp Tower opened on May 9, 1974. There is a shopping center, bank and several restaurants on the ground floor of the building. The upper floors (floors 1 to 24) are offices. On the side of the Van Ertbornstraat , the tower houses a hotel. The entrance to the private parking garage is also located there (-1 to -3). There are apartments on the Frankrijklei side , right next to the Flemish Opera .
The tower is 87 meters high and has 25 floors, making it the third tallest building in the city of Antwerp after the Cathedral of Our Lady and Boerentoren . It is also one of the tallest buildings in the country . Since 2017 the tower has been completely gutted except for the shell and rebuilt.
