Lists on the subject

The Apache is a cruise missile developed in France that was primarily designed to destroy runways. It was produced by the European armaments manufacturer MBDA .

The Apache also served as the base for the Storm Shadow cruise missile developed by Great Britain and France . The stealth technology and aerodynamics are particularly striking . Apache and Storm Shadow also use the same drive, a Turbojet from Microturbo (type: TRI 60-30). This drive gives the Apache a range of 140 kilometers.

An Apache carries ten Kriss Bomblets, each weighing 50 kilograms, on board. It therefore has an effect similar to that of cluster bombs , although it is specially designed for runways.

The Apache was the first cruise missile to enter service by the French Air Force in 2001. Between 2001 and 2004, 100 units were delivered to the French armed forces. It is unknown whether more Apache will be or have been delivered after the Storm Shadow has been commissioned.
