Apple (stories)
Apfel is a collection of short stories by the German author Michael Schulte , published in 1986 .
content
The volume contains stories and episodes that Michael Schulte collected and wrote during his one year stay as an emigrant in New York , the eponymous Big Apple , after 1982. His ironic stories from New York stand out from those of conventional travel guides. He organizes the chaos of the metropolis into its components - he has a drawer ready for even the smallest peculiarity.
criticism
The critics also attested that this work was “close to Karl Valentin ” . His lively retrospectives captured the atmosphere of the wide world of which he dreams so purposefully and in a friendly manner.
