Apheidas (King of Attica)

Apheidas ( Greek  Ἀφείδας ), the son of Oxyntes and Phyllis, was king of Attica after his father in the mythological tradition . After the very short reign of one year, his brother Thymoites is said to have succeeded him to the throne. Pausanias narrated an oracle that the Athenians received from Zeus of Dodona during his reign .
