Apolinor Jiménez (born January 20, 1944 in Paraguarí ) is a former Paraguayan football player on the position of goalkeeper . He has won seven league titles (six in Paraguay and one in Mexico ) during his playing career .

Life

Jiménez went through the junior area of ​​his home club Sudamérica de Paraguarí and received his first professional contract in early 1962 with Club Olimpia , where he was under contract in two stages for more than 15 years and with which he won a total of six championship titles.

In 1973 he moved to the Mexican Primera División , where he was under contract first with CD Cruz Azul and then with Puebla FC .

After a year-long stopover at the Colombian first division club Independiente Medellín , Jiménez returned to his home country, where he was under contract in 1979 with the second division team Capitán Figarí , with whom he immediately made promotion to the first division. He spent the next five seasons again at Club Olimpia before ending his active career in 1985 with the Argentine first division club San Lorenzo .

Since 2001 Jiménez has been working as a goalkeeping coach in the youth division of Club Libertad .
