The tree is strong and medium to densely branched. It is not sensitive to scab and powdery mildew , but the flowers are sensitive to late frost.

The flower develops on short shoots that stand on one and two-year long shoots. The flowers are very sensitive to frost.

The medium-sized, round fruit is 69 mm wide and 59 mm high and weighs 140 grams. The smooth, dry and firm skin is colored yellow below and faded orange-red further above. The firm, yellowish-white pulp is medium-fine-celled, juicy and harmoniously sweet and sour. It is ready for picking from the beginning of September to mid-September, and it is ready for consumption from September to November. The apple cannot be stored and is intended for immediate consumption. After three weeks of storage, it becomes floury. The apple varieties Retina and Piros come from Apollo .
