Apollo Tires is an Indian tire manufacturer founded in 1972. Apollo Tires is now the 15th largest tire manufacturer in the world with annual sales of 149.29 billion Indian rupees (around 1.78 billion euros) in fiscal year 2018. 69.5% of sales come from the APMEA region (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa), 30% from Europe and 0.5% from other regions. In terms of products, tires for trucks and buses account for 41.9% of sales, cars 39.1%, off-road vehicles 10.3%, light commercial vehicles 6.8% and 1.8% the rest. The first plant was in Perambra , Commissioned in Thrissur , Kerala , India. The company now has four production facilities in India, one in the Netherlands and one in Hungary.

Apollo Tires was founded in 1972.
In 2003, Apollo Tires began a financial and technical collaboration with the Michelin Group. In 2004, the Michelin Apollo Tires Pvt joint venture in India started a new series of tires for trucks and buses. In 2006, Apollo Tires acquired Dunlop South Africa. In 2009, Apollo Tires acquired the Dutch tire manufacturer Vredestein Banden . In 2015 Apollo Tires acquired reifencom GmbH , a leading German tire retailer , for 45.6 million euros.
