history
The Qiqihar Apostolic Prefecture was founded on July 9, 1928 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ea quae from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Jilin as Mission sui juris Qiqihar . The mission sui juris Qiqihar was founded on August 17, 1931 by Pius XI. raised to the Apostolic Prefecture.
