The Arab Culture Weeks have a new focus every year. Renowned scientists, politicians and statesmen from the Arab and Oriental cultural areas and from Germany are invited every year. Cooperation partners of the Arab Culture Weeks are alternately the head of the state center for political education Sabine Bamberger-Stemmann and Hamburg institutions such as the Museum am Rothenbaum , the Abaton Kino and many more.

In the Arab world, too, the Arab Culture Weeks leave a lot of media coverage.

The initiator of the Arab Culture Weeks is the native Egyptian Mohammed Khalifa, who works in the field of history and culture of the Middle East at the University of Hamburg together with his association, the "Arab Cultural Forum". As a member of the Integration Advisory Board of the Hamburg Senate , Khalifa represents Africa and the Arab cultural area. Among other things, his work was awarded the Egyptian Culture Prize at the “Conference of Egyptians Abroad” in 2009 on the initiative of the Egyptian government under the patronage of President Hosni Mubarak . In 2012 he received an award from Federal President Wulf for commitment between Germany and the Arab world in the field of culture.
