Arab Nations Cup 1992

In 1992 the Arab Nations Cup was played for the sixth time. This competition was held in Syria . The teams played against each other in a league system in two groups. The venues were Aleppo and Damascus . The group's best moved into the knockout round. Egypt entered with its Olympic team and won the tournament for the first time. The tournament was officially considered part of the 1992 Pan-Arab Games in Syria. Record holder Iraq was not invited because of the second Gulf War .
