Federal Association of Mail Services
The Business Association Federal Association of Mail Services (BBD) (formerly Employers' Association of New Letter and Delivery Services (AGV NBZ) ) is an association of competitors of Deutsche Post DHL AG.
President is Walther Otremba .
The AGV NBZ was founded on September 11, 2007 as an employers 'association by private postal service providers after the postal union ver.di concluded a collective agreement with the postal services employers' association dominated by Deutsche Post AG on a minimum wage of EUR 8.00 to EUR 9.80 per hour would have. The postal service providers accuse the AGV Postal Services of being dominated by Deutsche Post AG and wanting to eliminate annoying competition by setting an excessive minimum wage.
In addition to local and regional postal service providers , the major postal service providers PIN Group , Postcon and Citipost are also organized in the BBD .
After the black-red federal government agreed on a de facto minimum wage in the postal industry on December 4, 2007 according to the Posted Workers Act , this was heavily criticized by the AGV NBZ and mass layoffs of mail carriers were announced.
On December 18, 2007, the AGV NBZ and the Union of New Letter and Delivery Services (GNBZ) submitted an application to the Federal Ministry of Labor for the general binding effect of a collective agreement for value-added letter services . The collective agreement for value-added mail services includes a minimum wage with effect from January 1, 2008 in the amount of € 6.50 in eastern Germany and € 7.50 per hour in western Germany and Berlin. This did not happen because the collective agreement is void: The Cologne Regional Labor Court ruled on May 20, 2009 that the GNBZ is not subject to collective bargaining.
At the beginning of 2011, the employers' association new letter and delivery services renamed itself to its current name.
