Employers' association for food and enjoyment

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The employers 'association for food and enjoyment ( ANG for short ) is an employers' umbrella organization for the food industry in Germany, in the legal form of a registered association based in Berlin .

history

On June 29, 1949, the employer ring for food and enjoyment was founded, a forerunner of today's association. On October 6, 1977, the employers' association for food and enjoyment was founded as a socio-political umbrella organization for the food and luxury food industry at federal level in Bonn-Bad Godesberg .

tasks

As one of the largest industrial sectors with around 550,000 employees, the German food industry is organized in a very differentiated manner. Unlike in most industrial sectors, hundreds of collective agreements are concluded every year in the individual regions and sectors by various employers' associations. Here, the employers as a collective bargaining partner are mostly opposed to the traditional union of food-pleasure-restaurants (NGG). The ANG sees itself as coordinating the differentiated collective bargaining policy on the employer's side. The ANG itself is not a direct collective bargaining partner of the unions . The collective bargaining autonomy lies exclusively with the member associations. In a constant dialogue, however, employer and employee representatives endeavor to achieve a coordinated approach to key issues.

The ANG also sees it as its task to address such common socio-political issues that go beyond the area of a country or the area of one of its member associations and which are of fundamental importance. In doing so, it does not only address the social partners, but also all other parties involved in German social policy.

The ANG is itself a member of the Federal Association of German Employers' Associations (BDA). There is a close cooperation, also in terms of personnel, with the Federal Association of the German Food Industry (BVE), the umbrella organization of the food industry in Germany that focuses on economic policy.
