Fritz Koch (born March 1, 1896 in Würzburg , † January 16, 1967 in Miesbach ) was a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Koch took part in the First World War as a soldier from 1914 . He then studied law at the University of Würzburg , graduated as Dr. jur. and worked as a lawyer in Würzburg and Aschaffenburg from 1924 to 1945 . After the end of the Second World War , Koch became President of the Aschaffenburg Regional Court in 1946 and had also been a judge at the Bavarian Constitutional Court since 1947 .

Public offices

On December 18, 1950, Koch was appointed State Secretary in the State Ministry of Justice in the government of the Free State of Bavaria led by Prime Minister Hans Ehard . On 14 December 1954 it appointed the new prime minister Wilhelm Hoegner the Minister of Justice . After the formation of a coalition of CSU , FDP and GB / BHE , he left the government on October 16, 1957 and was replaced as Minister of Justice by Willi Ankermüller .
