Association of Austrian Entomologists

The Association of Austrian Entomologists (AÖE) is a scientific, non-profit association that was founded in 1949. There are professionals as well as amateurs who are interested in insects . The association actively deals with scientific work on insects, their diversity, way of life, rearing and distribution as well as questions of biotope and species protection .

Publications

The specialist journal published by the AÖE under the title Zeitschrift der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Österreichischer Entomologen (= journal of the AÖE ) has been published since 1960. The predecessor was the Entomologische Nachrichtenblatt of Austrian and Swiss Entomologists (1950-1959). The entomological news paper was incorporated into it .
