Working group for economical and environmentally friendly energy consumption
The working group for economical and environmentally friendly energy consumption e.V. , abbreviated ASUE , is an interest group for the dissemination and further development of economical and environmentally friendly natural gas applications. With a view to a successful energy and heating transition, the non-profit-making ASUE publishes information material and advice on the Internet and at relevant specialist events.

The working group was founded in 1977 and 45 German companies belong to it (as of March 2018), including many well-known gas suppliers , energy suppliers and municipal utilities , etc. a. E.ON , RWE , Wingas , Thüga , EVM , Mainova , Gasag , MVV . The seat of the association is Berlin .
The main focus of the association's work is the information and promotion of technologies for generating electricity, heating and cooling on the basis of fuel gas :
- Fuel cells
- Cogeneration units
- Gas turbines
- Bio natural gas or biomethane and biogas
- Gas heat pumps and refrigeration technology
- Heating technology
Furthermore, the working group provides assistance with the funding and registration conditions (e.g. EnEV , KfW ) for CHP systems and takes part in the political discourse on the future treatment of decentralized and efficient energy systems.
The association awards the German gas industry's innovation prize every two years .
