Labor inspection
In many countries, labor inspection is the name of the authority that monitors compliance with statutory provisions on occupational safety in companies . The name of this control authority differs depending on the state , e.g. As in Germany as labor inspection , in Austria Labor Inspectorate or in the UK as a Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The areas of responsibility are also regulated very differently, as several authorities can often be responsible for occupational safety , e.g. B. own facilities for transport or for mining . In many countries, the monitoring task is expanded to include environmental protection or waste law .
The implementation of international agreements such as Protocol 81 of 1995 to the Convention on Labor Inspection, 1947, of the International Labor Organization (ILO) creates the national foundations for control.
At EU level, this is Senior Labor Inspectors Committee set up as a central coordination point.
