The DEGA Noise Working Group (ALD) is a specialist group of the German Acoustics Association (DEGA eV) and was officially founded in May 2009 as the successor organization to the German Noise Abatement Working Group (DAL).
aims
The DEGA Noise Working Group (ALD) works to improve noise protection in Germany and Europe and to raise public awareness of the noise problem.
The ALD not only wants to draw attention to the issue of noise, but also wants to inform the interested public about the causes and effects of noise, taking into account scientific findings. Furthermore, everyone affected by noise and all interested parties should be shown ways with which they can protect themselves from annoying and health-endangering noise.
This project is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU ) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) .
activities
DEGA's Noise Working Group issues publications on issues relevant to noise and organizes public information and discussion events on current noise issues, in which anyone interested can participate.
The Day Against Noise - International Noise Awareness Day is a DEGA campaign supported by the ALD and held once a year in April. On this day the public will be made aware of noise in general, but also of the causes and effects of noise.
Information and business center (IGZ)
The information and business center (IGZ) of the ALD is the central point of contact for noise issues in the DEGA office in Berlin. It offers advisory and information services, supervises and coordinates ALD events as well as information and discussion events for those affected and interested in noise-related topics.
The IGZ supports the management of the ALD in managing the business and in all activities of the ALD.
