German Society for Acoustics
The German Society for Acoustics e. V. (short: DEGA ) is a registered association based in Berlin , which acts as the umbrella organization for acousticians working in Germany .
DEGA organizes the annual German Annual Conference for Acoustics (DAGA) and maintains so-called specialist committees on the various topics of acoustics. She also organizes and coordinates the “ Tag gegen Lärm ”, the German event of the international “Noise Awareness Day”, which takes place regularly in April.
In February 2018 the first issue of the Akustik Journal was published , which is to appear three times a year. As a DEGA publication, the Akustik Journal replaces the quarterly DEGA mouthpiece . In addition, DEGA was involved in the specialist journal Lärmbekichtung - journal for acoustics, noise protection and vibration technology (until 2005 journal for noise control ).
The association is a member of the European Acoustics Association , the International Commission for Acoustics and the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering .
