Patras Archaeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum in the Greek port city of Patras is one of the largest archaeological museums in Greece . It was designed by Theofanis Bobotis and officially opened on July 24, 2009. The new museum building includes halls with 8000 square meters of exhibition space in which important archaeological finds are exhibited, a total of more than two thousand exhibits from the Mycenaean period to the end of the Roman period, including mosaics from ancient Greece and Rome. The museum is located on the northern outskirts of the city, on a 28,000-square-meter lot on the Athens-Patras national road.
