Architectural policy
The architectural policy sees itself as part of the cultural policy and describes the state influence in the field of architecture . The state deals with the elaboration of legal and political framework conditions and tries in this way to direct the orientation of the national building culture . Compared to other political subjects, such as education or energy policy, architectural policy plays a rather subordinate role.
In the past, architectural policy was given more attention, especially when the establishment of ideologies and forms of government should be promoted. A well-known example is the architecture under National Socialism , the design of which was essentially influenced by the ideas of the state rulers.
