architonic.com is an online research platform for architecture and design . The target group are mainly architects, builders, manufacturers, agents and specialist dealers, as well as trade fairs and the design press. Architonic's aim is to make the market for architecture and design transparent through information about design products, materials and architecture projects. The online platform can be used to search for architecture-relevant products and research current architecture and design projects. Links are used to link products to projects in which they are used. Likewise, the profiles of designers and architects are linked to the projects for which they are responsible. This makes it easier for architects to obtain information during the architectural design and communication process.
As a partner of over 20 international design fairs, Architonic is regularly represented there with its Concept Spaces. The best-known trade fair partners include Imm cologne and ICFF New York. With the Concept Spaces, Architonic offers a platform for aspiring designers and architects who attract attention through the use of the latest processing methods or materials.
history
The site was founded in 2003 by the architects Nils Becker and Tobias Lutz, together with the computer scientists Thomas Navello and Dieter Keist. The internationally operating company employs around 75 people (as of May 2013), consisting of architects, designers, IT specialists and marketing specialists. Architonic.com has been 81% owned by the NZZ media group since June 2018.
