La Baña ( Galician A Baña ) is a municipality , a parroquia and a place in the autonomous community of Galicia . It is located in the province of A Coruña in the north of Spain . The 3849 inhabitants live on an area of 98.19 km 2 , 52 kilometers from the government capital A Coruña .
history
The first mention of A Baña comes from a manuscript from 1153, which was found in the annals of the monastery of San Xusto de Toxosoutos .
