The Santiago de Compostela Airport ( IATA code SCQ , ICAO code LEST , span. Aeropuerto de Santiago de Compostela , formerly Aeropuerto de Lavacolla ) is an international commercial airport in Galicia (Spain) in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula km 15 northeast of the city of Santiago de Compostela . The airport also serves as the military aerodrome of the Spanish Air Force , which calls the facility the Aeródromo Militar de Santiago .
Location and transport links
The airport is located ten kilometers northeast of the city center of Santiago de Compostela.
- Car : From Santiago 13 km on the Autovía A-54 (N-634) or from Lugo in the east on the national road N-547
- Bus : The Freire company usually runs every 30 minutes to the Doutor Teixeiro stations south of the cathedral and to the RENFE train station on the edge of the city center on Avenida de Lugo (N-550 / SC-20).
