The Almería airport ( Spanish Aeropuerto de Almería , IATA code : LEI , ICAO code : LEAM ) is the international passenger airport of the Spanish city of Almería .

Location and transport links

The airport is located in the province of Almería in the south of the Iberian Peninsula . It is located about eight kilometers outside the city of Almería on the gulf of the same name in the Andalusia region .

Line 30 (Almería - Alquián) operated by Surbus serves the airport. By car you can take the airport slip road AL-12 to the Autovia del Mediterráneo A-7 coming from the west . This continues north to the Murcia region . Granada , about 160 kilometers away, can be reached in about 2 hours by car via the A-92.

Airlines and Destinations

Iberia connects the airport with Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Mallorca, Seville and Melilla , the small enclave on the African continent. Ryanair and Easyjet connect the airport with several European destinations several times a day. Ryanair flies to Almería from London, Manchester, Brussels Charleroi and Dublin.

At times, Germania offered direct flights to Germany. Thereby Düsseldorf and Munich were flown to (seasonal). However, there are currently no direct flights to destinations in Germany. The connections with Iberia via Madrid often only have a 1 hour stopover in Madrid.
