The airport Valladolid ( Spanish Aeropuerto de Valladolid ; IATA code : VLL , ICAO code : LEVD ) is the commercial airport of the Spanish city of Valladolid . It also serves as the military airfield of the Spanish Air Force , which calls the facility the Base Aérea de Villanubla .
Location and transport links
The airport is located about 13 km (driving distance) northwest of the city center of Valladolid and about 220 km northwest of the capital Madrid . It is located in the province of Valladolid , which in turn is part of the autonomous community of Castile and León .
The airport is located directly on the Carretera Nacional N-601 , which connects the cities of Valladolid and León . The Autovía A-60 , which is still partly under construction, also runs near the airport. Once completed, this will also connect Valladolid with León, but a section between Valladolid and the airport has already been opened to traffic. The airport is integrated into local public transport by buses , which connect it to the cities of Valladolid, León and Madrid.
Airlines and Destinations
Valladolid Airport is only served by the low-cost airlines Ryanair and Vueling Airlines . Both fly to Barcelona . Charter flights are also carried out.
