Abegondo is a Spanish municipality in the autonomous community of Galicia . Abegondo is also a city, a parroquia and the administrative seat of the municipality of the same name. From the time of the Celtic and Roman occupation there are numerous archaeological finds in the remains of ancient places and military fortifications.

Culture

Numerous churches, chapels and mansions can be found in many parts of the community. The “Cruceiros bonitos”, a crucifixion group right next to the parish church, should be emphasized. This ensemble is unique in Galicia and probably comes from artists from the Brittany region .
