The Archive for the History of the Book Industry (AGB) is a scientific journal published by the Historical Commission of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. It has been published by the Booksellers Association since 1956 . From 2002 she appeared at the Marketing and Publishing Service of the Book Trade (MVB). The magazine has been published by KG Saur Verlag since the 58th volume , now by Verlag de Gruyter .

The magazine publishes articles on historical topics from all areas of the book industry. The forerunner of today's magazine is the “ Archive for the History of the German Book Trade ” , published in Leipzig from 1878 to 1898 .
