The Ardley Lake (in Chile Laguna Ripamonti, Chinese  月牙湖 , Pinyin Yuèyá Hú  - "Crescent Lake ") is a 100 m long lake on Ardley Island in Maxwell Bay of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the largest and only permanent lake on the west side of the island.

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2007 based on the name of the island on which it is home. Its namesake is Richard Arthur Blyth Ardley (1906–1942), officer on board the RRS Discovery II as part of the British Discovery Investigations (1929–1931 and 1931–1933). Chilean scientists, however, named him in 1984 after Julio Ripamonti Barros (* 1916), architect of Chilean research bases in Antarctica .
