Live and act

Linder Gasser grew up in the Rheingau-Taunus district . After working in Iceland and studying architecture , she always wanted to spend longer periods abroad. During her stay in Guatemala , the desire to develop stories developed, which led her to film after a detour via journalism. She gained her first experience with reports for Hessen TV . She then worked freelance for various agencies.

In 2009 she worked in Buenos Aires for seven months with Luciano Stalman on her first documentary. In 2010 she founded the film production company Luli Productions . In 2014, Gasser studied "Time-Based Media" at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences . The productions that were created during this period were shown at over 70 national and international film festivals. In 2017 she founded the "Arc Film Festival" in Mainz with the aim of providing a platform for filmmakers . It is intended to make transparent how the working conditions in the film industry in Hessen are. The state is the only one that does not provide film funding .

Gasser advocates new narrative styles and ambitious films. Together with David Martinez (Raindance Festival), Chiara Andrich (Sole Luna Doc Film Festival) and six other festival directors, she founded the “Film For Our Future” network in Milan on behalf of the United Nations .

The renowned festivals joined forces with the aim of spreading the message of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 SDGs it contains. Aspiring filmmakers should be actively supported in order to inform people about the global challenges and solutions of our modern world and to inspire them at the same time. The festival directors have come together in the belief that they support fresh and unconventional ways of thinking for a sustainable future.
