The Arena Saddle is a mountain pass in the shape of a mountain saddle in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located in the Quartermain Mountains at a distance of 1.5 km west of Altar Mountain in the middle of a mountain ridge with an east-west orientation that forms the head end of the Arena Valley .
At the suggestion of the Australian geologist Clifford Turner McElroy (1924-2006), the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the saddle after the valley of the same name.
