The Arena Valley is an ice-free valley between the East Beacon and New Mountain , which opens south to the Taylor Valley in the Antarctic Victoria Land.
It was named by participants in a campaign carried out from 1958 to 1959 as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions after the valley shape, which is reminiscent of an arena .
