The New Mountain is a 2260 m (according to New Zealand information 2387 m ) high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Quartermain Mountains it towers over the Arena Valley and the Windy Gully on the south side of the Taylor Glacier .
Participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901–1904), led by British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott, mapped and named him.
