The Windy Gully ( English for wind gutter ) is an icy valley between New Mountain and Terra Cotta Mountain on the south side of the Taylor Glacier in the Antarctic Victoria Land .
It was named by the members of the western group of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) because of the strong winds that prevail there .
