Argenis Chavez
Argenis Chávez Frías (born July 3, 1958 in Sabaneta ) is a brother of Hugo Chávez Frías and has been a politician since he took office as President of Venezuela .
Chávez is a son of Hugo de los Reyes Chávez , a Venezuelan village school teacher and politician.
Argenis Chávez has often received public attention for corruption allegations . He was Secretary of Barinas State when his father, Hugo de los Reyes Chávez , was governor.
In 2011 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Electricity Development in the Ministry of People's Power for Electric Energy , established by Hugo Chávez . MP Wilmer Azuaje had brought charges against Argenis Chávez and other members of the Chávez family since 2005, but these charges were always denied by the court. In 2008, defamation charges were again brought but were also dismissed.
