Ariane Pfister-Benda
Ariane Pfister-Benda (* 1946 ) is a German violinist .
Life
She is the daughter of violinist Lola Benda from the Benda family of musicians . She was a student of Louis Persinger , Lili Kraus , Ricardo Odnopossof and Max Rostal and winner of the Rio de Janeiro International Violin Competition. She has played under conductors such as Charles Dutoit , Howard Mitchell, Stanislaw Wislocki and Karl Richter and has performed in North and South America and in all major European music centers. In addition to a recording of Bach's Musical Offering , she published various recordings of violin concertos by their Bohemian namesakes from the pre-classical period Franz Benda (1709–1786), Johann Anton Benda and Jan Jiři Benda (1713–1752).
