Werner Drexler

Werner Drexler (born July 19, 1928 in Nuremberg ) is a German pianist , composer , arranger and orchestra leader specializing in swing , easy listening and film music .

Live and act

Werner Drexler began his career in American bars in Nuremberg and Munich. After studying music in Munich, he played in the Kurt Edelhagens orchestra from 1953 to 1957 , for which he also worked as an arranger; In 1955 he also took part in SWF sessions with Don Byas and Caterina Valente . From 1959 he worked as a production manager at Südwestfunk . In the following 30 years he recorded over 50 LPs with the station's dance orchestra or associated bands such as Incognito Five or Werner Drexler Sound Combination . He also composed the music for television series such as Fest im Sattel , Butler Parker , Moselbrück or Christian and Christiane , as well as the theme tune for the 1974 World Cup . He also worked with Max Greger and other orchestras.
