Aribert Reimann Foundation

The Aribert Reimann Foundation is a foundation to promote contemporary piano song. It was founded in 2006 at the suggestion of Aribert Reimann . For this purpose, it awards a scholarship aimed at young composers who graduated from a German or international university no more than three years ago.

The scholarship is linked to a commission for the composition of a new song cycle for voice and piano. Students in the “Contemporary Song” class at the Berlin University of the Arts are to perform the compositions for the first time.
